Raya in demand? Premier League transfer window round-up 19/01

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly ready to rival Tottenham to try and bring in Brentford goalkeeper David Raya this summer.

Raya is out of contract at the end of next season and The Telegraph say the 27-year-old is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs.

Elsewhere, The Athletic are reporting that Paris St-Germain were prepared to let Kylian Mbappe leave the club for Liverpool last summer but the attacker rejected the move because he would have preferred a transfer to Real Madrid.

The Daily Mail claim West Ham have tried to sign Manchester United captain Harry Maguire on loan until the end of the season.

However, they say the move was rejected by United boss Erik Ten Hag, who wants to keep Maguire at the club for the rest of the campaign.

Meanwhile, The Sun are reporting that Arsenal will not rush into doing any January transfer business just because they have missed out on target Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea.

The Premier League leaders are willing to wait until the summer to try and land top target Declan Rice from West Ham, it is said.

The Gunners are, however, said to be in talks over signing wantaway Brighton wide man Leandro Trossard.

Trossard’s agent has made clear that the 28-year-old would like to leave the club this month and multiple reports suggest Arsenal is a likely destination.

Everton have reportedly been offered the chance to sign out of favour Tottenham man Lucas Moura.

That’s according to The Daily Mail, with Moura out of contract at the end of this season.

And finally, the Mail also say that Nottingham Forest are in talks with Newcastle United to sign striker Chris Wood on loan with an option to buy.
