Real Madrid in pole position for Bellingham? Kane set to stay at Spurs? Transfer latest

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham

Real Madrid are said to have taken a step forward in their pursuit of young star Jude Bellingham.

According to AS, a representative from the Spanish giants recently met with Bellingham and his family having made the Borussia Dortmund man their number one target for the summer.

Meanwhile, Sport say Madrid are willing to spend 100m euros plus 40m in add-ons for the England international, who has interested suitors across the world – including in the Premier League.

Liverpool and Man City are among the clubs to have also been heavily linked to Bellingham, with the 19-year-old possibly facing a big decision this summer should Dortmund opt to cash in.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly keen not to become involved in protracted negotiations for Spurs striker Harry Kane and are instead prioritising other targets.

Kane was the target of interest from Man City in the summer of 2021, but a deal could not be agreed for the England captain.

And United are reportedly keen on avoiding a similar situation. ESPN say Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic are currently being looked at as alternatives.

The Athletic also say Tottenham have no intention of selling Kane this summer and are looking to agree a new contract with the 29-year-old.

Elsewhere, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle are said to be lining up moves for Barcelona wide-man Raphinha, who only joined the Catalan club from Leeds last summer, according to Calciomercato.

Wilfried Zaha could be set to leave the Premier League with the Mail reporting that he has an offer worth £9m a year to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad, though Crystal Palace are keen on keeping hold of the winger.

And The Times say Liverpool and Man City are on alert with 18-year-old wonderkid Gavi potentially able to leave Barcelona on a free this summer should they be unable to register him due to the club’s financial issues.
