Middlesbrough defender undergoing medical at Blackpool ahead of loan move

Middlesbrough defender FInley Munroe is undergoing a medical at Blackpool ahead of a season-long loan move.

The Bloomfield Bulletin reports that the 21-year-old is in Blackpool to complete his move, with the League One side having fought off competition from several others to sign him.

Munroe joined Boro in January from Aston Villa, following an impressive loan spell at League Two Swindon Town under former Pool boss Ian Holloway.

But he made just three appearances under Kim Hellberg and is now set to spend the season on loan in League One.
