Millwall boss Neil updates on progress of injured duo

Millwall boss Alex Neil has updated on the progress of injured duo Mihailo Ivanovic and Mathis Servais.

They were both absent as the Lions kicked off their Championship campaign with a 2-0 away win against Bristol City.

Summer signing Servais has been missing since picking up a hamstring injury in pre-season. However, Neil is hopeful that the Belgian will be back on the pitch soon.

“Mathis is making good progress,” he explained. “We’ll just need to wait and see what happens in the next couple of weeks.”

Meanwhile, Ivanovic has been sidelined since suffering. Fractured metatarsal at the start of last month. It had been suggested that the striker could return in early September.

“I did say that was a little bit optimistic at the time,” admitted Neil to NewsAtDen. “We’ll wait and see with Mihailo. He’s still quite a few weeks away, I think.”
