Gerry Cox
Gerry started at Hayters in the 1980s and now runs it with Nick Callow. He has covered eight World Cups and seven European Championships plus major sports events all over the world.
A former Chairman of the Football Writers’ Association, he has interviewed most of the world’s great footballers, and many more not-so-great players.
Dan Ludlam
Dan is social media manager at Hayters and has overseen the launch and growth of all the company’s social channels.
Over the last eight years, Dan has interviewed the biggest names in football and covered countless matches from the press box.
James St Denis
James is an experienced video journalist who has covered some of the world’s biggest sporting events including the World Cup in Qatar and the Euros in Germany, and has helped to lead the growth of Hayters’ social media platforms.
Ayisha Gulati
Ayisha heads up our women’s football coverage, and has been part of the Hayters team since September 2024. She mostly covers WSL, UWCL and the Lionesses, with a career highlight of covering England’s victorious Euros campaign in Switzerland.
Japtej Ghura
Japtej started at Hayters in July 2024 and covers predominantly Chelsea, as well as a bit of Spurs and Arsenal. He was out in America for the duration of the Club World Cup in the summer of 2025, covering the Blues as they brought the title home.
Dan Bennett
Dan is the editor of our website Hayters.com, leading the site’s growth from scratch to now attracting thousands of visitors every day.
He has had articles published in most of the national newspapers, including breaking the news in
the Daily Mirror that Arsenal wanted to sign Christian Norgaard from Brentford, which they went on to do.
Stan Smith
Stan leads our coverage in the north of England and has been part of the Hayters team since August 2023. He mostly covers Manchester City and Manchester United, as well as other teams in the area.
Nayan Murthy
Nayan joined the Hayters team in June 2025 as a journalist and video editor, mainly covering Tottenham Hotspur as well as other London clubs.
His written work has appeared in The Telegraph and covering Spurs has taken him to northern Norway and Munich, interviewing stars such as Harry Kane and Micky van de Ven.
Raff Tindale
Raff is Hayters’ north east correspondent, covering all things Newcastle United and Sunderland. Since joining the team in 2023, he has also held a similar role in Madrid, reporting from one of Europe’s most passionate footballing cities. Raff has interviewed some of the biggest names in the sport and covered major fixtures, including the Europa League final and El Derbi Madrileño.
Nazira Yusuf
Nazira joined Hayters in April 2023 and is our Merseyside correspondent with a particular focus on Liverpool FC’s men’s and women’s teams
Her career highlight to date is reporting on Liverpool’s historic 20th league title triumph during the 2024/25 season and she has interviewed some of the biggest names in the game, including Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk.
