Pep Guardiola said Manchester City are just focused on beating Copenhagen in the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie, as some wondered if they could win consecutive trebles.
City are in contention on three-fronts again, tussling with Liverpool and Arsenal in the Premier League and in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
They have won 11 out of their 12 games in 2024, drawing the other against Chelsea. Guardiola’s men are in imperious form, but he isn’t getting ahead of himself with plenty of football to be played.
“Our only target is to win tomorrow, we didn’t talk about the Treble last season until we won it,” he said.
“The way Copenhagen defended impressed me. Hopefully we can progress to the quarter finals again tomorrow. We have respect for Copenhagen, in football anything can happen.
