Ange Postecoglou says the club are working hard to add to his squad in January given the recent injury crisis.
Spurs have been without many key players of late including Cristian Romero, Micky Van de Ven, Guglielmo Vicario, Richarlison and others.
And Postecoglou says January will be an important window as he looks to turn around his side’s season, with Spurs currently sat in 11th place in the Premier League.
“I think in the context of where we’re at at the moment, it’s an important one because I think if we add what we need to add and it fits what we’re trying to do, obviously our league position is not great but it’s super tight so we’re not that far off it.
“We’re in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup, we’re still in a great position in Europe, there’s the FA Cup, so there’s still everything to play for us to make it a season where we can have some success.
“But we need some help. The players need some help, more importantly, and the club is working really hard to try and make that happen.
“A lot will depend on where we’re at when the window opens and we’re getting close to that now so we’ve got a clearer picture of where we’re at.
“I still think we have to be disciplined. It’s not just about bringing anybody in.
“There’s certainly a need for us to try and reinforce if we can. Everyone knows January is not an easy time to try and do that but certainly the club is working hard behind the scenes to see what we can do to help the players we’ve got at the moment who are giving everything in every game and sort of dipping into every bit of energy they have to try and get us through.”
