“Latest is that everyone who was available for Doncaster is available again. Pape trained today so that’s positive. Kolo Muani is a dead leg that is just dragging on so he won’t be available.

“Dom is not available. It’s just been a little bit tricky [with him]. We’re positive it will be relatively quick.”

Frank on Kolo Muani's injury

“It was in training. He collided with Pape Matar Sarr so I can blame Pape! No, it was just an accident. Dead legs can be quick things or they can drag on.”

Thomas Frank on rumours of a Spurs takeover

“We have to adapt.”

Guardiola says Kyle Walker one of the greatest full-backs EVER

“I’m pretty sure everybody will be happy to see him. It was an unbelievable few years for us and he was the right-back who defined our time here in the last nine or 10 years. I’m pretty sure he will get the gratitude of our fans.

“Absolutely he deserves it. [He is] one of the greatest full-backs ever.”

Guardiola updates on other team news

“Rayan Ait-Nouri and Rayan Cherki, no [they are not ready]. Omar Marmoush and Abdukodir Khusanov, no [they are not ready]. Mateo Kovacic, maybe.

“[It would help] a lot to have Kova back. It’s a long injury, surgery, but he is getting ready. He is not fully ready but step-by-step.”

Howe backs Gordon to rise to occasion against Arsenal

“It is a big boost for us to have him back, The Barcelona game was sandwiched in-between his suspension in the Premier League and I think now that is fully over he can really focus on the few games we have before the international break.

“I thought he was excellent against Bradford, he was creative and certainly he had the right attitude to the game and helped the team deliver a good performance.

“We need that attitude from everyone, we are playing big games every three or four days and he is someone who has done well in those kind of games [against teams like Arsenal] and for me he is a player that rises to the occasion.”

Howe says Woltemade is different to past Newcastle strikers

Howe on Woltemade:

“It is difficult to see him as a ten considering we do not play with somebody in that position. I see him as a nine.

“I see him as a nine who plays it slightly differently to other nines that we might have had in the past. You can’t compare Nick [Woltemade] to Callum Wilson for example, they are two totally different profiles of player.”

Eddie Howe on Arsenal and learning about his side

“They [Arsenal] are a different team [to last season] but likewise we are a different team.

“We are still in the moment of finding out what team we are going to be and there have been really positive signs already this season. Against Bradford there were signs of the creative side to our game and the technical side was in a really good place and we are going to need something similar [against Arsenal].”
