With football back in full swing after the winter transfer window, fans are settling in for the end of this season.

That means more heated debate on which teams will come out on top, leaving underperformers to be relegated to the Championship. As oddsmakers weigh in, we’ve gathered a March 2026 snapshot of the League’s favourites and not-so-favourites.

The favourite(s) to win

A lot of eyes are on the Premier League’s winners this season, thanks to the fact that seven English teams could qualify for next season’s Champions League for the very first time. For that to happen, the top four Premier League teams would qualify, plus a fifth Premier League team due to England’s #1 UEFA Coefficient standings. Then, if things line up perfectly, a sixth and seventh English team could make the next season by each winning the Champions League and Europa League, while being ranked lower domestically.

While that’d take some stars aligning, it has everyone weighing up the odds of who will take the top of the table. So far, Arsenal are the faraway favourites with 2/5 from the oddsmakers at BetMGM. They sit at the top of the table with 64 points and a five-point lead, and most think that won’t change going forward. If it does, it’d come from mismanagement at Arsenal or, like last year, a series of critical injuries that see them lose their best players for the remainder of the season.

Trailing just behind Arsenal is Manchester City at 9/5, with 59 points. They’ve been labelled the underdog by oddsmakers because, while they played well, they dropped points during the winter and have lost Erling Haaland due to injury

Behind them is Manchester United at 66/1 with 51 points. While those odds are long, it’s less about their failure this season and more about their dramatic comeback over the past two months. After sacking Ruben Amorim in January, they have gone from 15th in the table to third in record time.

Either Manchester team could be a good pick if Arsenal fumbles, but that’s still a big if. In the meantime, bookmakers like BetMGM are sweetening the deal with welcome offers that provide new users with a first deposit match and bet bonuses, as detailed here

In danger of relegation

On the other end of the table, we should take a look at those in danger of relegation this season. It looks like it’s just about over for Burnley and the Wolves, despite the latter’s surprise win against Liverpool. Their odds sit at 1/100, if not further, at most oddsmakers.

Things get more interesting around the 18th spot, where West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham are battling to not be there when the season ends. BetMGM has West Ham as the favourite for relegation at 8/11, with Nottingham behind at 5/2 and Tottenham behind them at 4/1.

The Spurs’ fall from grace is a particular sore point for Tottenham fans, who are seeing one of the worst seasons in 50 years of play. If it’s any consolation, the rumour is that the team will switch head coach to Mauricio Pochettino after the 2026 World Cup, but they have to see this season through first.

With three months still to go, there’s plenty of time for dramatic upsets and comebacks that could flip parts of the table. Until then, analysts and oddsmakers have the clear winners and losers of this season priced in.
