Revealed: The most wasteful players in front of goal at Euro 2024

Cristiano Ronaldo was the biggest underperformer when comparing his expected goals and actual goals at Euro 2024, according to stats from CasinoAlpha.com.

The Portuguese international failed to score at the competition despite having an expected goals figure of 3.6.

Arsenal forward Kai Havertz, meanwhile, was the second biggest xG underperformer according to the stats, scoring twice but having an expected goals figure of 4.1.

France duo Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe placed third and fourth respectively. Griezmann had an xG of two but failed to score, while Mbappe scored just once but had an xG of 2.9 at the tournament.

Completing the top five is Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku with an xG of 1.7 and 0 goals scored.
