Roy Keane says he would throw any medals won with Manchester City “in the bin” after they were found guilty of breaching the Premier League’s financial rules.
The former Manchester United captain said he would not want to keep honours won during the period in which City were found to have broken the rules.
“If I was a player, I’d be 100% sticking those medals in the bin,” Keane told ITV Sport ahead of England’s match against Czechia.
“Of course you would, it’s cheating.
“They won it on the pitch because cheating was going on.”
Manchester City continue to deny any wrongdoing and have said they will fight the guilty verdict.
