Arsenal defender William Saliba did not feature for France in their goalless draw with Israel on Thursday.

The centre-back was called up to the latest France squad by Didier Deschamps but was left on the bench as France drew 0-0, with Ibrahima Konate and Dayot Upamecano instead preferred in the starting line-up.

France have one more Nations League international before club football resumes, facing Italy on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Brazil duo Gabriel and Gabriel Martinelli both featured for their country in a 1-1 draw with Venezuela.

Defender Gabriel started and played the entirety of the 1-1 draw as ten-man Venezuela pulled off an upset.

Martinelli was a late substitute, coming on in the 82nd minute and playing the remainder of the game.

Elsewhere, Leandro Trossard played a full 90 minutes in Belgium’s 1-0 defeat to Italy.

David Raya, Mikel Merino, Kai Havertz Jurrien Timber, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior could all be in action for their respective countries over the next couple of days.

Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice will not be, however, having withdrawn from international duty.

Ethan Nwaneri was also involved for England U19s, scoring in a win over Lithuania.
