Sheffield Wednesday close to finalising deal for Hull City striker

Sheffield Wednesday are closing in on the signing of striker Mason Burstow, Hayters understands.

Burstow spent last season on loan at Bolton Wanderers in League One, where he scored 12 goals and helped them win promotion to the Championship.

And Hayters understands that Wednesday are close to finalising a deal to bring in the 22-year-old from Hull City in what is expected to be a loan move.

Burstow has also had spells at Chelsea, Charlton Athletic, and Sunderland, with Wednesday set to see off competition from other League One sides to sign the forward.
