Slot says Liverpool’s defeat to Wolves was ‘the same old story’

Arne Slot says Liverpool’s defeat to Wolves summed up the story of their season.

Andre struck late to win the game 2-1 for the Premier League’s bottom side, after Mo Salah had equalised following Rodrigo Gomes’ opener.

“Same old story,” Slot said after the game.

“Recently we are picking up points because we’ve scored many times from set pieces but what did not change in the last five, six, seven games, is that we struggle and find it very hard to score from open play.

“The chances we do create are not as much for all the ball possession we have but are enough and far more than the other team.

“But, end result, we score one and they score two, and indeed another in extra time so it sums up our season again.”
