Spurs attacker Heung-Min Son says Dominic Solanke can be a “huge signing” for the club.
Solanke has completed a £65m move to Tottenham from Bournemouth but has yet to play for the club after signing shortly before the pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich on Saturday.
He is potentially in line to make his debut for the club in their Premier League opener with Leicester City next Monday.
Solanke impressed for the Cherries last season, scoring 19 goals in 38 Premier League games to help his side avoid relegation trouble.
And Son believes Solanke can make a big difference to the Tottenham attack as they look to improve on a fifth-placed finish in Ange Postecolou’s first season in charge.
Speaking after the 3-2 friendly defeat to Bayern, Son said: “I think Dom is a huge signing for us. He did a fantastic job at Bournemouth, scored 19 goals I think, and I think it’s a great signing for us.
“I haven’t seen him in the training session because we had a game so I’m looking forward to playing with him and hope he can help our team.”
Son also praised Harry Kane as “one of the greatest players I have ever played alongside”, as the England captain returned to Tottenham with Bayern Munich. “I wish him all the best for the season, I hope he can win a lot of trophies and individual awards, he deserves it.”
