Piero Hincapie has returned to Arsenal training ahead of their match against Fulham after recovering from injury.
The Ecuadorian, who signed for the club on transfer deadline on loan with an option to buy, has resumed training after recovering from a groin injury sustained on his debut against Athletic Club in the Champions League.
Hincapie suffered the issue having featured in the final six minutes during the 2-0 victory over the Spanish side. He had had groin surgery in the summer whilst at former club Bayer Leverkusen.
The 23-year-old was spotted being welcomed back by his Gunners teammates during Sky Sports’ live broadcast of open training at Arsenal’s training ground.
Mikel Arteta had confirmed Hincapie’s imminent return after their most recent match against West Ham United:
“He will be available after the international break,” he said. “We’ve been trying to do everything as fast as possible.
“But this came too fast, and now we have the international break, and hopefully after that, he will have a couple of sessions with the team and [be] ready to go.”
Arsenal’s players have now returned from international duty, with Gabriel and Gabriel Martinelli also spotted training after playing for Brazil.
