Sunderland have revealed that duo Arthur Masuaku and Bertrand Traorè are set for a period out through injury.
Masuaku has suffered an ankle injury while Traore is out with a knee problem, both of which were sustained at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Both are now expected to be out for between four and six weeks.
But Noah Sadiki and Reinildo are back in contention for the home clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday after returning from AFCON.
Chemsdine Talbi and Habib Diarra are still unavailable, however, with the duo set to face each other when Morocco play Senegal in the AFCON final.
