Sunderland face Arsenal in the Premier League as the north London side look to extend their lead at the top of the table.
Regis Le Bris was full of pride in his side after they fought back to draw with “one of the best teams in Europe” Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta was understandably gutted after Arsenal let in a late goal against Sunderland.
“Obviously, the last feeling is disappointment and frustration because we wanted the three points, and we have to navigate through a really tough game. We knew that, it was very disruptive. We have to deal with situations, obviously, that are difficult to deal with.
“They do it really well and we conceded a goal that is not in our standards. But after that, I think the team reacted really well, showed a lot of personality and courage. They scored the first goal, they scored the second goal and we totally dominated the game.”

What an end to the game at the Stadium of Light that is! Sunderland took the lead before half time courtesy of Dan Ballard and a brilliant finish. Bukayo Saka hit back in the 54th minute with a brilliant finish of his own, before Trossard rifled one into the top corner in the 74th minute to give Arsenal the lead. It seemed all but done for Sunderland, but the 94th minute brought an equaliser through the form of a sensational volley from the substitute Brobbey. It ends 2-2 at the Stadium of Light after a thrilling encounter. Stay tuned for both managers’ reactions here.
What a block from Ballard! Merino has a chance to win it and fire home from close range but Ballard blocks and it’s a corner to Arsenal.
Well if the first didn’t blow the roof off, that one certainly did! Trai Hume whips one into the box, it’s nodded on by another Sunderland player and Brobbey beats his man Gabriel and acrobatically volleys it in! What a goal and what a moment!
There will be seven minutes added time to end this evening’s proceedings. There’s still time yet for Sunderland to find an equaliser!

Now that’s a big chance for Sunderland, Hume’s cross is met tremendously by Mandava, who lays it off to Brobbey, who is immediately smothered by Raya. That’s some very brave goalkeeping from the Spaniard there, who gave Brobbey no chance of scoring.
Sunderland with a good opportunity to deliver one into the box here.
What a goal from Trossard that is! The Belgian loses his defender with some great trickery and gives himself room to shoot, before rifling one on his favoured right-foot into the top corner, giving Roefs no chance! Advantage Arsenal!
Mandava is shown a yellow card following a foul on Saka.
Zubimendi wins a free kick in the defensive half.
Trai Hume wins a free kick in the offensive half following a push in the back from Califiori.
Declan Rice to take, he will be looking to deliver one into the box here.
Sunderland get away with one there! Roefs parries a shot away and the rebound falls to Zubimendi, who fires a shot onto the crossbar and bounces away.

This game has very quickly become all Arsenal. Roefs’ goal is under siege, and right now it looks only a matter of time before Sunderland concede. Le Bris’ side must settle otherwise this game will run away from them.
Trossard plays in Zubimendi, who barely drags his shot wide of Roefs’ goal. Arsenal are really on the front foot now, and are looking like they could score again any minute.
Sunderland need to ensure they don’t let the game slip away from them now. An unnecessary goal to concede, admittedly, but the game is still there for the taking. Arsenal, on the other hand, only look as though they are growing into this one.
Rice does well to pounce on Le Fée and robs him of the ball in the Sunderland half. Eze then plays in Merino, who lays it off to Saka who does well to keep his composure and slot it past Roefs. Game on!
Saka does well to open up an angle to get his shot away in the Sunderland penalty area but drags his shot wide.
Sunderland with the first corner of the second half.
Arsenal get the second half underway.
This second half will really test the resolve of these Arsenal players. The Stadium of Light has been a difficult place for teams to come to this season, with not one emerging victorious. A result here would be huge for Arteta’s side in relation to the league standings, but they will have to dig deep if they are to get one.
