The transfer window shuts in just over two weeks’ time with plenty of deals likely to happen before that deadline.
Spending has been down on previous windows as the restrictions of financial rules and the potential penalties that come with breaching them impact clubs.
But there are several big name and valuable players that could move clubs before the window shuts…
Victor Osimhen
Chelsea are continuing discussions with Napoli over a move for the striker, who scored 15 goals in 25 Serie A games last season. The players’ fee and wage demands are said to be a stumbling block for the Blues but Chelsea could opt to splash the cash again and bring a big name striker to the club, with Romelu Lukaku going the other way.
Marc Guehi
Newcastle have seen two bids rejected for the England defender, according to reports, with Crystal Palace holding out for a monumental fee for the 24-year-old. Can Palace hold onto one of their star players or will Newcastle making an offer too good to refuse?
Conor Gallagher
Gallagher looked certain to move to Atletico Madrid before Chelsea’s move for Atletico striker Samu Omorodion fell through which has put a hold on the midfielder’s exit.
Joao Felix
The Blues are working on a resolution to the Gallagher deal involving bringing Joao Felix back to the club, who spent some of the 2022/23 season on loan at the Blues.
Ivan Toney
The Brentford striker has just one year remaining on his contract and he looks increasingly likely to stay at the club for this season and perhaps leave on a free next summer. But as the deadline gets closer, a club in need of a proven Premier League goalscorer may decide to swoop in.
Ebere Eze
Like his team-mate Guehi, Eze would command an enormous fee if he is to depart Palace. Man City are among the clubs rumoured to be interested in him and his performances at the Euros did his stock no harm at all.
N’Golo Kante
West Ham made a move for the midfielder earlier in the window but failed to agree a deal for the France international. He would demand a decent fee and high wages for a 33-year-old but showed what he can still do during Euro 2024.
Jadon Sancho
Sancho is back in the fold after spending last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund following a public fall-out with boss Erik ten Hag. But reports around his future persist, with PSG among those said to be interested.
Raheem Sterling
The addition of Pedro Neto at Chelsea could free up Sterling to leave the club. His time at Chelsea has failed to match expectations but his wage demands could be a problem for interested clubs.
Aaron Ramsdale
Arsenal shot stopper Ramsdale found himself out of favour last season following the arrival of David Raya. He will be keen for game time and Ajax are among those said to be interested in him.
Mikel Merino
The Euro 2024 winner with Spain has reportedly agreed on a move to Arsenal but talks between the Gunners and Real Sociedad are ongoing.
Giorgi Mamardashvili
Reports claim Liverpool are exploring a deal for the Georgian goalkeeper, who has impressed for Valencia during his time there.
Kalvin Phillips
Phillips has found himself down the pecking order at Man City and an unsuccessful loan spell at West Ham last season did him no favours.
Manuel Ugarte
Man Utd are reportedly chasing a deal for the PSG and Uruguay midfielder.
Wilfried Zaha
Zaha is said to be keen on an exit from Galatasaray, with Leicester City and his former club Crystal Palace among those interested.
Jarrad Branthwaite
Man Utd have held interest in the defender, though the additions of Lenny Yoro and Mathjis de Ligt may mean a central defender is no longer as high on the list of priorities.
Trevoh Chalobah
The defender has been frozen out of Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea plans and is reportedly free to move clubs if a deal can be agreed.
Armando Broja
Another who could be on the way out of Chelsea before the deadline.
Eddie Nketiah
The Arsenal striker continues to be linked to Marseille but it remains to be seen whether he will move this summer.
