‘These are the experiences we moved for’ – Kane on meeting Bellingham in Champions League

Harry Kane says he is looking forward to meeting England team-mate Jude Bellingham in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Kane’s Bayern Munich set up a meeting with Bellingham’s Real Madrid after knocking Arsenal out of the competition thanks to Joshua Kimmich’s winner in a 1-0 second-leg win.

Bellingham, meanwhile, saw his side progress after beating reigning champions Manchester City on penalties, and Kane is predicting a “war” against the Spanish giants when the two teams face off.

“For sure, Jude has had a fantastic season, he’s a really top player so I’m obviously happy for him,” Kane said when asked if he is looking forward to coming up against Bellingham.

“But it will be another war against his team. These are the experiences I think we both went abroad to try and achieve, to play in these big nights in the Champions League and play in big semi-finals so of course it will be one to enjoy for both of us.

“I’m sure there will be a lot of English fans watching both of us as well but we just have to focus on ourselves.

“Of course I’ll say hello but once we’re both out on the pitch it’s about doing our best for the team.”
