Timber excited for return of ‘leader’ Odegaard

Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber says he is looking forward to the return of “leader” Martin Odegaard.

Odegaard is in line to return to the Gunners squad when they take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night having taken part in training following a knee injury.

And Timber says it will be a big boost for his side to have him back.

“Martin leads by example,” Timber said.

“I think everyone looks up to him in the way he does things and the way he performs every time on the pitch.

“If he speaks, everyone listens and I think he’s the obvious leader for us.”
