Tottenham take on Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in what is a must-win clash for the north London side.
“He has the confidence and the players around him to give him the passes.
“The second goal, it’s outstanding from Adam, but he’s always on the front foot and making these runs. He understands where to move, how to move, he has the pace, the physicality, finishing quality.
“He’s doing very well for us.”
“His shoulder. His arm is in a brace and will have further assessments.
“He says he doesn’t feel so bad but with the shoulder it’s always tricky. Hopefully not too long.”
“I see them every day and they care. They want to do and they try to do.
“We need to stay calm, keep working, we can change.”
“I have my job to do and that’s all.”
He’s then asked if we will see him in that seat again: “No comment on that question.”
“I cannot tell the players anything after this game. They gave everything, unfortunately we paid for every detail, if you can say the red card is a detail.
“There’s always something with all the problems we have. Missing all the defenders today, missing the full-backs, these are the problems we already know.
“We need to stay together now. I always repeat the same things but this is how it is. Believing and growing, do not make mistakes. This is they key in football, stay there and don’t do mistakes.
“One goal or two goals, we can always score, but it’s important to not make mistakes in football. Unfortunately now, in this moment, we pay for everything but it will turn. I believe. Still nine games to play.”
Spurs boss Igor Tudor: “One red card changed everything.
“I’ll tell you now, and maybe it sounds strange, but I believe more after this game than I believed before.
“I saw something. I need to choose the right guys, because the boat is going in the direction we need to go, and who is in the boat, can stay, otherwise it can go down.
“When the other players come back, I’m sure we will have a good team.”
Palace goalscorer Strand Larsen on his team-mate Wharton: “What a player. If he’s on the ball, make a run and he’ll find you.
“I think the players around me make me look good and I make them look good as well.”
Tottenham are once again beaten at home, thanks to two goals from Ismaila Sarr and one from Jorgen Strand Larsen after Dominic Solanke opened the scoring.
Adding to more Spurs misery, Micky van de Ven will now miss the next three thanks to his red card.
Xavi’s floats a free kick in from the left delightfully for Tel but the Frenchman heads just wide.
Into five minutes of added time.
Kamada’s corner causes Vicario trouble at the near post but the ball bounces just wide of the goal.
Ismaila Sarr breaks in behind and aims a beautiful cross towards Tyrick Mitchell at the back post.
Sarr gets back just in time to clear, though.
Spurs have a chance here 20 yards out, free kick after Xavi Simons was brought down by Kamada.
Palace are given a free kick for a foul by Danso on Mitchell and Bissouma is not happy at all.
He is in the book for dissent.
Can Spurs get back into this?
Will Hughes and Christantus Uche are on for Jorgen Strand Larsen and Adam Wharton.
Xavi Simons and Richarlison are on for Dominic Solanke and Pedro Porro.
Palace are starting to control things now.
Jorgen Strand Larsen turns on the ball just outside the area and fires just wide of Vicario’s goal.
Dominic Solanke drives into the area and looks destined to score, but Henderson saves with his foot at the near post.
Former Spurs man Brennan Johnson is on for Evann Guessand.
The ten men of Spurs are really struggling to get near the Palace box here.
Wharton has the ball in space on the edge of the box but his shot his blocked by Kevin Danso.
Not much has happened so far but Spurs have had much of the ball so far.
Their most recent foray forward led to a Palhinha shot just wide from outside the box.
An early corner finds Danso unmarked, but his header is saved by Henderson.
We are back underway for the second half.
