United make progress on PSG midfielder, Fulham close in on Palace defender – latest transfer news

Talks are advancing between Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain for Manuel Ugarte, according to Sky Sports.

The 23-year-old Uruguayan is out of favour at the French Champions, with there being a willingness from both parties to get a deal done.

A permanent deal is a preference for both sides, but a loan with an obligation has been discussed.

Elsewhere, Fulham have struck a deal with Crystal Palace for defender Joachim Andersen, according to David Ornstein.

A fee of £30m has been agreed for the Danish international, who spent the 2020/21 season on loan at the Cottagers.

Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa have come to an agreement to allow left back Alex Moreno to join the Reds on loan, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 31-year-old Spaniard is said to be having his medical today in a season long loan with an option to buy.

Meanwhile, according to the Athletic, Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg is close to a permanent transfer away from the club.

Brentford and Bayer Leverkusen have both shown interested in the 22-year-old centre back, who had a breakthrough season at German side Mainz in 2023/24.

Armando Broja is set to have his medical at Ipswich today ahead of his proposed season long loan move from Chelsea, according to Sky Sports.

If the Tractor Boys stay up this campaign, then the 22-year-old’s loan will become an obligation for £30m.

Finally, Chelsea could make a move for Jadon Sancho before the end of the transfer window, reports the Athletic.

The 24-year-old England international was not part of the Manchester United squad that beat Fulham on the opening weekend.
