WATCH: Arteta provides updates on Arsenal trio ahead of Luton game

Mikel Arteta says Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli will both be involved against Luton Town.

Saka was subbed off in the goalless draw with title rivals Man City on Sunday and withdrew from the England squad over the international break because of fitness concerns.

Gunners boss Arteta says Saka is fit enough to be involved but is yet to make a decision on whether he will start the game, but confirmed Gabriel Martinelli is available to play the whole game after returning from a foot injury off the bench against City.

On Saka, Arteta said: “He’s fine. We haven’t trained, we’ve recovered and there will be a short, light session to prepare for the game. We will see if he’s in the best condition to start or not.”

And on Martinelli, the Arsenal boss said: “He is [available to play for 90 minutes] because he was available to play against a really tough opponent and he certainly is today.

“We will train today, see the state of every player and make the right decision tomorrow.”

Jurrien Timber, meanwhile, continues to work his way back from an ACL injury sustained in the opening game of the season and Arteta is hopeful that he will be involved before the end of the campaign.

“He’s doing very well,” Arteta said.

“He’s back training. He’s not far off. The thing is that last step. I would say he’s got a good chance [of playing before the end of the season].”
