Gabriel Jesus believes Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is ‘the best finisher in the world’ ahead of the forward’s return to England.
Arsenal are preparing for their first Champions League quarter-final in 14 years when they face German Champions Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
Speaking ahead of the match, Jesus was full of praise for former Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who is having an outstanding first season at Bayern.
When asked about the quality he possesses, the Brazilian could not hide his admiration for the Englishman:
“Everyone knows the quality of Harry Kane,” Jesus said. “For me he’s the best finisher in the world. It’s great to play against these kind of players. We want to keep him quiet in the game.
“It’s not just Harry Kane though, you know Sane my old friend, Gnabry, Muller – what a player. They have a lot of quality there.
In my opinion, he can finish with the head with left or right. The guy since I arrived in Europe he’s one of the best and at this time is the best in the world
“I don’t watch players to try to take something from them. I watch to enjoy it. All the players have their own qualities like I do.
“I don’t try to copy people. You see him finishing and you want to keep seeing it.
“Consistency. When you look at his numbers over the last 10 years, it’s unbelievable what he’s done.
“He can score in many different ways, he’s got the service and players around him to provide those opportunities. This is what we have to try to avoid.”
