Jurgen Klopp has warned opposition fans not to try and wind up Darwin Nunez following his late winner against Nottingham Forest, which saw Liverpool go four points clear at the top of the Premier League.
The Uruguayan striker returned from injury to net in the 99th minute for the Reds.
Forest fans had targeted the forward by labelling him a “s*** Andy Carroll” and the Liverpool boss says Nunez’s winner is a warning to other fans thinking of doing the same.
“I would not sing a song like that,” Klopp said.
“I would not try to wind Darwin up.
“Before people start singing that song more often, that’s the best way to calm it immediately down.
“But they can sing it if he responds like he did today.”
