The loss only added to a season of frustration at the club, which has seen Chelsea’s youth project hit continuous hurdles.
Despite the setback and pressure building on Pochettino, he revealed he spoke with the owners after the final and he has their support.
“They showed their support, and after the game, Todd [Boehly] sent a nice message,” he said.
“I said hello to the owners when I saw them in the stadium and I met Behdad at night [after the final]. We were talking about the game and the opportunity we missed.”
