Jack Wilshere is reportedly set to leave his job as manager of Arsenal’s Under-18s and become a first-team coach at Championship club Norwich City.
The Pink Un say Wilshere is close to replacing former first-team coach Narcis Pelach, who recently left the club to become manager of Stoke City.
They report that “confidence is increasing” over a deal being reached.
Wilshere led Arsenal’s U18s to the final of the FA Youth Cup in 2022/23, where they lost out to West Ham.
He has been in the role since 2022 after announcing his retirement as a player, having spent ten year at the Gunners in his playing days.
Arsenal would be due some compensation for the departure of Wilshere, reports say.
Wilshere is well known to Norwich City’s sporting director Ben Knapper, who worked for Arsenal for 13 years in various different roles.
