Woltemade leaves Newcastle on loan

Newcastle United forward Nick Woltemade has joined Juventus on a season-long loan.

The Germany international has completed an initial temporary move to the Serie A side after making 53 appearances in all competitions for Newcastle since joining the Magpies from VfB Stuttgart last summer.

Woltemade scored 11 goals during his time at St James’ Park and made his latest appearance for the club as a second-half substitute in Saturday’s 2-0 Premier League victory away at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 24-year-old will now link up with Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus, who have made a strong start to their Serie A campaign and sit fourth after winning both of their opening fixtures.
