Wolves boss Cesar Peixoto has confirmed Boubacar Traore will remain at the club after their 4-1 victory over Stoke City.
Traore’s future had been the subject of speculation with Anderlecht reportedly keen, but Peixoto was unequivocal when asked whether the midfielder, who came off the bench in his side’s victory, would leave Molineux.
“He won’t go, he stays with us,” Peixoto told the Express and Star.
Asked whether Traore was happy at Wolves, Peixoto suggested the midfielder was content with the situation.
“Yeah, I think so. I think the players are happy,” he added.
“When the things are in the right way, when we win, it’s more easy to work and the players are more happy.”
“Bouba stays with us because he’s an important player to support Andre and fight with each other to stay more competitive in the team.”
On his side’s victory over Stoke, Peixoto added: “We concede a goal and the reaction the team has is very important for us.
“It shows personality, character to fight for the three points.”
It is so important in football or in any industry to have a good manager. For the past years Wolves have had mediocre bosses who have been unable to get the best out of the players. Then we hire an unknown guy from Portugal who makes those same players want to up their level and gets the supporters singing again. For me it indicates that some managers restrict players from playing naturally but once they are given free range they really do perform. Every player wants to win and Cesar has given then that freedom.
The Championship is like the soccer of yesteryear when Refs were in charge and mad the decisions good and bad. In only watching the Premier every week for the past few years I had totally forgotten how exciting free football can be, no VAR to delay the decisions even if a goal can be given or not.
For me watching the Championship is like a breath of fresh air exciting and free of interruption so my blood pressure has no chance of calming while some bods in Bletchley try to make up their minds.
For me todays game versus Stoke was a really enjoyable watch even if I had to get out of bed at 5am, Costarican time to watch the game. It was worth it. Every Wolves player fought for for the team, to win, and gain 3 points. But isn,t strange that except for a couple of changes these are the same players from last season, the one difference is the Gaffer.
I am 83, a life long Wolves supporter and this Cesar is the best man manager to sit in the dugout for many years. Long may this winning form continue so I will be happy for the early starts
