Ruben Amorim speaking to BBC Sport about Mason Mount: “It’s not just the goal he scored, it’s the way he plays the game – how he attacks, he defends, he understands his technical qualities. “The manager had a few things to say and it was down to us to attack with a purpose and finish the chances we created. We’re happy with the second half.”

Fulltime (1-4)

It has not been in a doubt for a long time but it is finally all over.

A much needed result and performance from United, who can now move on to the next one. For Wolves, it is more misery as any surviving hopes of safety continue to disappear.

That equaliser was massively needed for Wolves, who should return with a fresh sense of confidence after the break. Edwards could kickstart his tenure with a statement result here.
