Man City agree deal for next summer signing and continue to work on more – reports

Manchester City have agreed a deal with Marseille to sign goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli and continue work on multiple more signings.

The Mail report that the 34-year-old shot-stopper will arrive at the Etihad for £1.7 million. The Argentinian will provide back up to Gianluigi Donnarumma, following the exit of James Trafford to Leeds.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are yet to improve their offer for Ballon D’Or-winning midfielder Rodri yet. The Catalan side have reportedly agreed terms with the 30-year-old.

However, their opening bid of just under £40 million was rejected. City want a fee closer to £70 million before they will allow Rodri’s exit, according to The Athletic.

Enzo Maresca is still hoping to add to his squad with the addition of young midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, but a deal has yet to be finalised.

Elsewhere, City could also launch a move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, should Rodri leave, according to The Independent. The Argentina international has been regularly linked with a reunion with former manager Maresca throughout the summer.

Fernandez is believed to be open to a move away from Stamford Bridge. However, Chelsea would demand more than the £106 million fee they paid for the 25-year-old.
