Arsenal duo discover final Ballon d’Or rankings

Declan Rice has been ranked as the 27th best player in the world over the past year in the Ballon d’Or list.

Rice played a key role as the Gunners reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, scoring a fantastic double in the first leg of their quarter-final against Real Madrid.

He played 52 times in all competitions under Mikel Arteta last season, scoring nine goals as his side finished runners-up in the Premier League.

Arsenal centre-forward Viktor Gyokeres, meanwhile, came 15th in the list.

He joined the Gunners this summer from Sporting CP, having scored an outstanding 54 goals in 52 games in all competitions to help his former side lift the Primeira Liga and Taça de Portugal.

The winner of the award will be announced later tonight, with Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, Lamine Yamal, Mo Salah and Raphinha among the favourites.
