“Very happy,” Arsenal’s boss reflected, “Obviously winning in the Champions League is always very complicated.
“We looked a real threat, really dynamic, really playing forwards. A lot of runs, a lot of threats.”
“I think he’s going to be okay,” Arteta said. “He felt something I think it was a kick, I’m not sure, in the first half and he was a bit uncomfortable.
“He could carry on but we decided not to take any risks because he’s played a lot of games, coming from a long-term injury as well.
“We need to look after him.”
That’s full-time at the Emirates.
Arsenal were made to work for their win but they got over the line after goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

Game over!
Gabriel Strefezza is booked for a foul on Martin Zubimendi.
Christos Mouzakitis, Gabriel Strefezza and Giulian Biancone replace Panagiotis Retsos, Costinha and Santiago Hezze.
Amazing defending from Olympiacos to keep it at 1-0.
Eberechi Eze pings a beautfiul ball to Saka, who attacks the visiting defence before cutting the ball back to Odegaard, but his attempt is superbly saved by Kostas Tzolakis before Priola blocks the rebound.
Bukayo Saka gives away a foul, and the Emirates erupts into groans.
Frustrating for the Gunners fans despite having the lead.

But it is cleared by Olympiacos.

Arsenal need to find a second goal from somewhere.
Mikel Arteta will not be happy with this second half performance, but the Gunners still find themselves in front.
No consistency from either team so far.
Olympiacos have the ball in the back of the net from Chiquinho but it’s ruled out for offside on El Kaabi.
Only just.
Another chance for Arsenal and again they fail to punish.
Odegaard plays in Trossard, who chops inside and sits the goalkeeper donw, but Pirola is there to block.
Mehdi Taremi is on for Gelson Martins.
Martin Zubimendi is booked for taking out Gelson Martins.
It came after Myles Lewis-Skelly’s long throw did not reach the first man.
Gabriel is shown a yellow card and I’m not too sure why.
Apparently for delaying the restart.
Ben White and Mikel Merino are replaced by Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber.
Declan Rice is getting ready to come on.
Mikel Merino goes down in pain, but after a bit of time he’s back to his feet and the game can continue.
It’s a poor effort from Trossard, whose effort goes flying over and wide of the goal.
This has been a really stop-start second half so far.
The Greek side have started the second half brightly here.
Gelson Martins is looking a threat every time Olympiacos go forward.
The second half is underway.
Arsenal lead at half-time.
