Chelsea boss Maresca banned and fined after being sent off against Liverpool

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has been given a one-match touchline ban and fined £8,000 for misconduct.

Maresca is alleged to have “acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour during the fixture” between Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Italian boss was sent off late on in the game after running down the touchline in celebration of his side’s winner.

Maresca has accepted the charge and the penalty.
