Chelsea international latest: Enzo and Madueke get assists as Caicedo and Lavia miss out

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez set up a goal for Argentina but could not help them to avoid defeat against Paraguay.

Enzo helped give his country an early lead with an superb pass for Lautaro Martinez to score before Paraguay came from behind to win 2-1, and played 77 minutes before he was taken off.

Noni Madueke also set up a goal for his country, helping England to beat Greece 3-0 by assisting Ollie Watkins for the opening goal and playing 66 minutes.

Moises Caicedo missed Ecuador’s game against Bolivia through suspension, but future Chelsea man Kendry Paez did play in the game, however, coming off the bench to play the final 15 minutes for Ecuador. Paez is set to join the Blues next summer.

France’s Christopher Nkunku came on in the 71st minute of their goalless Nations League draw with Israel.

Romeo Lavia, meanwhile, was not involved for Belgium in their defeat to Italy.

Nicolas Jackson played 64 minutes of Senegal’s 1-0 win over Burkina Faso before being replaced.

Another youngster set to join Chelsea also featured for his country, with Estevao Willian coming on as a late substitute for Brazil in their 1-1 draw with Venezuela.

And Tyrique George and Marc Guiu were both involved for England U19s and Spain U19s respectively, and both set up goals in their teams’ victories.
