Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly says the club are playing “beautiful football” under boss Mauricio Pochettino, amid speculation around the Blues manager’s future.
Pochettino has been under pressure this season following another underwhelming campaign but has overseen an upturn in form recently which has seen the Blues emerge as contenders for European qualification.
Chelsea thrashed London rivals West Ham 5-0 in their last outing, which also followed a 2-0 win over Spurs and a comeback 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.
Back in March, the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust claimed the fans had “significant concerns” about the current ownership and that the club were becoming a “laughing stock”.
But Boehly believes the plans for Chelsea are starting to come to fruition.
“We’ve seen the last two and a half games… in the second half at Aston Villa and Tottenham and West Ham, where we played beautiful football,” he told the Sportico conference in Los Angeles.
“It was so fluid, it was exactly the way we drew it up, when we came out of the back, built up and moved up the pitch, very organised and the number of shots we had.
“In those two and a half games, you could really start to see what we were working on coming together.”
