Eddie Howe says Wednesday’s Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven will come too soon for Dan Burn and Will Osula.

Both players returned to training ahead of the clash, with Burn having been out for a month with a rib injury which he suffered in the defeat to rivals Sunderland in December.

Osula, meanwhile, has been sidelined since November with an ankle problem.

But while they are nearing returns, Howe says they will not be involved against PSV.

“Dan’s making really good progress,” Howe said.

“The journey back he’s had, he’s pretty much stuck to the timelines we expected but he won’t make tomorrow, it’s too early.

“Same with Will Osula, this was their first day with the team but hopefully they’re not too far away.”
