Live updates from the Estadio de San Mamés as Man Utd and Spurs face off in the Europa League final.
“Everyone has to look at themselves. I need to be the first one to look at myself, understand what I can do more to help the club to to become the club we were in the past.”

“Us finishing third wasn’t going to change this football club. The only thing that was going to change this football club is us winning something.”
More reaction from Ange Postecoglou here: Ange Postecoglou on the importance of Spurs winning Europa League, his second season comments and his future
“We’ve had some unbelievable champion footballers come to this football club, Harry (Kane) is a prime example.
“There’s so many that haven’t had a day like this. I wanted a day like this for Sonny because he’s done everything he can in the last ten years to try and get this feeling and for one reason or another, it hasn’t worked.”
“I don’t feel like I’ve completed the job yet. We’re still building.
“But the moment I accepted the role, I had one thing in my head and that was to win something more than anything else and we’ve done that now.
“I want to build on that.”
“Whatever happens, happens.
“I said yesterday, we’re still building this team. It’s still a very young team. We need to add some experience to it, we’re in the Champions League.
“My thought process of what I’ve been trying to do this year is build a team that can be successful for four, five or six years.
“I’m the manager of the football club. That decision is not in my hands. It doesn’t affect me though. If it was going to affect me you would have seen it.
“All I cared about was this, having this around my neck, because if I di that meant this football club has won a trophy.”
“I think that’s the more important thing, how the club perceives itself.
“I felt, being at the club the last couple of years, it seems because of what’s happened in the history, people are quick to take shots at the club and I felt at times the club hasn’t defended itself as strongly as it should.
“I understand that because people have been here a long time and haven’t got anything to sort of lean on to but I’m hoping this does.
“There’s no reason now why they can’t go into next year believing they can win another trophy and build a team that consistently strives to win things.
“I think if you see yourself in that way, irrespective of the noise from the outside, that’s what great clubs do. They expect success because they’ve had it. Hopefully this takes the club forward.”
“I think people misinterpreted it. It wasn’t me boasting, it was me just making a declaration and I believed it. At the time I said it we were still in the Carabao Cup.
“I just had something inside me. More than anything else, and I know our league form has been terrible and nowhere near good enough, but us finishing third wasn’t going to change this football club. The only thing that was going to change this football club is us winning something.
“When I said that, that was my intent. I’m not afraid to declare it. If I fell short, I was ready to cop it but I believed in this side.
“That was my ambition. I could say that and I was ready to wear it if it didn’t happen.
“The reason people keep reminding me of it is because there was still a chance to do it. I was comfortable with that.”
“We’ve got a really young group and I’m hoping them tasting this now and the success they’ve had, it feeds into itself. They feel differently about themselves and mainly for the supporters. There’s probably been supporters who have been following us those 41 years we haven’t won in Europe.
“What it means to them is incredible.”
Some brilliant quotes from Ange Postecoglou speaking to TNT Sports after guiding Tottenham to the Europa League trophy. Here’s some of the best…
“I know what it means for this football club. Unfortunately, the longer it goes on, it’s harder to break that cycle.
“I could sense the nervousness in everybody at the club because we’ve been in this situation before and until you break that and get that monkey off your back, you never understand what it’s like.”
Heung-min Son lifts the Europa League trophy high into the air as the Spurs players jump around and celebrate.
What a moment for the Spurs captain too. He finally wins a trophy with the club after ten years there. Richly deserved.

The Man Utd players have just collected their runners-up medals and Spurs are now getting their winners’ medals, before they lift the trophy.
Spurs goalkeeper Vicario: “I can’t believe what we’ve done tonight, it’s unbelievable.
“This group of players have written history.”
More from Johnson on his boss Ange Postecoglou: “He’s done his job. He said he wins in his second year and he has.
“If there’s time for a mic drop, it’s now. I’m looking forward to his interview.”
Brennan Johnson speaking to TNT Sports: “This season hasn’t been good at all but none of us care about that now.
“Since I came here it’s been ‘Tottenham are a good team but never get it done’. We got it done.”
Cuti Romero has been named the fans’ player of the match for this evening. One World Cup, two Copa Americas, and now a Europa League. Take a bow!
A word on Manchester United. Unbeaten in the competition until this evening, they have given their fans some memorable moments this Europa League campaign. They’ll be back, no doubt. But for now, it’s Tottenham’s night.
Tottenham Hotspur thoroughly deserve to lift the Europa League trophy after that performance. They defended for their lives and it has to be said that Vicario deserves his own trophy for some of those late stops. The scenes in El Estadio de San Mamés are inexplicable. Spurs haven’t won a trophy since 2008, and the fans are rightly euphoric.

That must be it! Only the final whistle awaits!
The last chance surely!
