Thiago Silva has hailed the impact of Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea and says he is pulling the club in the right direction after a difficult last season.
Pochettino took over following Frank Lampard’s interim spell as Chelsea boss and faces a big job to turn around the club following a 12th-placed Premier League finish last season.
The Blues went through three managers last season in Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and then Lampard, but Silva says Pochettino is getting Chelsea back on the right track.
“Everything is working really well, we are training very good and trying to find the best connections and trying to get a good evolution,” he told Hayters TV after the Blues’ 4-3 pre-season win over Brighton.
“We need to prepare the team well so we can start the season in the best possible way and try to do a better season than last year.
“The environment has always been good but it’s true that last season with difficult results, the situation was difficult.
“But the trust and confidence with Mauricio is starting to be very interesting, he’s putting things on the right line and direction so all the players can have a good season and perform better.”
