The nominees for this year’s Ballon D’Or award, given to the footballer voted the best in the world, have been revealed.
Arsenal have four players named among the nominees for the men’s award – Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard and William Saliba.
Man City also have four in Phil Foden, Ruben Dias, Erling Haaland and Rodri.
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer makes the list after a breakout debut season with the Blues in which he scored 27 goals in all competitions while assisting 15 times.
Aston Villa also have a nominee in goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham are too named on the list of nominees – meaning there are six England players in total nominated for the men’s award.
Vinicius Jr, Rodri and Bellingham are currently among the favourites to win it.
It is also the first time in 21 years Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo have not been included.
