Postecoglou praises defender Radu Dragusin: “I’ve said all along that some of our players are getting unfairly judged because of the situation we’re in. He’s only 22 and it would be fine if he was playing with older players around him but he’s playing with an 18-year-old who isn’t a centre-back and he’s had three different goalkeepers.”
Spurs face National League side Tamworth in the FA Cup this weekend and speaking about the game, Postecoglou said: “I have no doubt about the attitude of the players. All the boys have a great understanding that every game is important. We go into Sunday’s game with the same sort of mindset of making sure that we do things that we can control and a big emphasis on things we do really well.
“There’s always challenges out there. I’m sure Tamworth will think it’s a great opportunity for them and we have to be ready for that.”

Amid rumours linking some United players with moves away, Amorim insists he wants to keep his squad together: “Yeah, my players are all my favourites, so I really love my players. I want to keep my players especially the talented ones. Of course I’m really happy with Kobe’s improvement.”
Rashford to be involved against Arsenal?
“We will see, let’s focus on the game, they are available, they are training, we will see the selection for this game.”
Ruben Amorim speaking ahead of the game against Arsenal: “I don’t remember saying that I want new players. What I said is that we need to improve recruitment. When we are targeting players we need to be sure that they will cope with the demands.”
“Wes is thinking he can recover sooner than that. We would all be happy if we could receive him for tomorrow, but we will see.
“There is no problem. I just say what the medical staff tell me. Wes is thinking he can recover quicker than that. We are all happy if Wes is back as soon as possible.”
“I have so much support from the board and continue to have it. We are seeking and willing to do the same, which is to win the maximum amount of football matches to achieve the goals we want to achieve, which is to win trophies.
“That support is there but we have our limitations.”
“I like Marc for sure, but he is not our player. I also like the central defenders we have. I also like central defenders in Italy, Spain, in France, but does not mean we are going to buy those players.
“It’s a normal situation when you have central defender injuries that speculation is there, but there is nothing.”
“In the front positions, comparing what other clubs have done and the expenditure, we are very far from it for different reasons. We already have very good players and we had many necessities in the squad to achieve in that period.
“We have certain limitations and a lot of gaps and a lot of things to cover to become the team that we want. And then the availability of those players as well, can you afford them even if you want to? Sometimes it’s not possible.”
Maresca: “Cesare will not be in the squad. It’s more or less the same situation as Ben. The plan is to not give him minutes if there is an opportunity for him to go and play.”
“Trev is a good player but at the moment he is a Palace player, so we will see.”
Enzo Maresca has shared a further update on Wesley Fofana’s injury and says he is expected to be out for “three to four months”.
Maresca says Reece James and Romeo Lavia could get minutes against Morecambe following their recent injuries.
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca says Ben Chilwell will not play against Morecambe because he will “probably leave”.
“Sustaining an attacking midfielder scoring 15 goals like he did two seasons ago doesn’t happen.”
Arteta is asked about whether his side have a lack of goals issue: “We were the team that scored more goals in the calendar year than anyone. I don’t think that can be a problem.”
Arteta is asked about how he can go about improving things in January: “My players. 100%.”
He says two or three games is too small of a sample size to gather conclusions on his players and stresses the need to look at the past months and years.
He adds that “discussions are always ongoing” about opportunities in the window however.
Arteta says finding a player who can “impact the team” in January is something “very difficult to achieve”.
“I know him well, I followed him (Amorim) a lot at Sporting and there is a big reason why he is there (at Man Utd).”

On the FA Cup: “It’s a massive part of our history. We’ve won it 14 times and it’s a competition very attached to us.
“The memory of winning something and celebrating it with your people is the ultimate goal.”
Guardiola says Ederson is fit but John Stones is still unavailable.
“Listen, was I not clear in my answer? Come on! I was clear in my answer; I’m not going to talk. He’s a player from another club, I’m not saying an answer.”
Man City have been linked with several players this window, including Omar Marmoush and Abdukodir Khusanov, but Guardiola is not commenting…
“All month you’re going to ask the same about all we are linked with in the media, so I’m not going to talk. You can insist, I’m not going to answer because I don’t know the situation.”
Guardiola says youngster Oscar Bobb is back in “partial” team training. He is yet to play for the club this campaign after being injured in pre-season.
