Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi is closing in on a move to Manchester City.
The defender will not play for Palace tomorrow against Sunderland as he finalises a move away from Selhurst Park.
“The latest understanding is that the deal with Marc is in the final stages,” Palace boss Oliver Glasner revealed.
“I can’t confirm the club because it’s still not done but it’s in the final stages and the result is that Marc doesn’t play tomorrow for us.”
Guehi was close to a £35m move to Liverpool in the summer before Palace pulled out in the final hours of the transfer window.
The England international attracted interest from several clubs, including Liverpool and Arsenal, but it is Premier League champions Manchester City who appear to have progressed with a deal.
Meanwhile, Glasner has also confirmed he will be leaving Palace at the end of the season when his contract expires.
