Pep Guardiola says he is leaning towards leaving Manchester City when his contract expires after next season.
The Spaniard won his fourth Premier League title in a row with the club, and his sixth overall, after beating West Ham 3-1 on the final day of the season.
And speaking to Sky Sports after the game, he said: “The reality is I’m closer to leaving than to staying (when his contract expires).
“It’s eight years, will be nine. Right now my feeling is I want to stay next season. We talked with the club, we have time to talk next season because I have to see the players as well, if they follow me, they follow us.
“I want to stay next season. During the season, we will talk. But after eight, nine years…”
Arsenal were reliant on City dropping points in order to win the title but a double from Phil Foden and second-half strike from Rodri ensured they again finished as champions.
“In terms of numbers, nobody has been better than us,” Guardiola said after City became the first team to win four Premier League crowns in a row.
“The records, the goals, the points, the four in a row. We have done something unbelievable, six Premier Leagues in seven years.
“In this country, in modern football, with the quality of the teams, the managers and everything.
“Before it was Liverpool to push our limits and now it has been Arsenal.”
