Everton manager Sean Dyche

With the Premier League season underway, the Hayters TV team predicts which teams we think will succumb to relegation come the end of the campaign.

If you missed part one, in which we made our predictions for who we think will finish in the top four, you can read it here.

Anthony Cooper

18 – Everton

19 – Sheffield United

20 – Luton Town

Luton Town and Sheffield United will struggle to adapt to Premier League life and Everton will not muster enough to survive the drop once again.

18 – Bournemouth

19 – Sheffield United

20 – Luton Town

Luton and Sheffield United do not have the resources or squads to compete and Bournemouth just get into my bottom three ahead of Wolves, Forest, Everton and Fulham.

18 – Everton

19- Luton Town

20 – Sheffield United

Sheffield United and Luton just don’t have enough quality to avoid the drop and there is nothing to suggest that Everton will avoid another relegation battle, given the lack of much needed investment in the squad.

18 – Luton Town

19 – Wolves

20 – Sheffield United

I really want Luton to stay up. Written off by most but an exceptionally efficient team. Rob Edwards has recruited smartly and I’m excited to watch them but I think lack of goals could be an issue. Wolves are a mess at the moment. A decent starting XI but next to no depth and with not a lot of money to spend. The Blades have sold their two best players, and look like they lack Premier League quality.

18 – Fulham

19 – Sheffield United

20 – Luton Town

Fulham will struggle to score goals and it will prove to be their downfall. Sheffield United and Luton just don’t have enough resource to secure their top-flight status.

18 – Everton

19 – Sheffield United

20 – Luton

There’s often a big team who just about avoid relegation one season but capitulate the next, and Everton have to be one to watch, with a squad lacking investment. Ditto West Ham and Wolves. Luton likely to go back down, with Sheffield United.

18 – Wolves

19 – Luton Town

20 – Sheffield United

Wolves find themselves severely constrained by FFP regulations and, having lost their captain and manager, they enter this season with their Premier League status at serious risk. Should the young Fabio Silva step up, they may survive but should he not, it is hard to see where their goals will come from. A first season back in the top flight for the hatters in over 30 years is sure to be exciting. However, Luton’s squad does not boast enough Premier League calibre players to ensure their safety. A couple of key departures and a lack of arrivals looks set to leave the Blades struggling in all departments, meanwhile, and a return to the Championship looks a likely prospect.

Nazira Yusuf

18 – Sheffield United

19 – Wolves

20 – Luton Town

The loss of leading goal scorer Iliman Ndiaye leaves the Blades with a team that is theoretically worse than the one they had last year. As a result of their failure to strengthen in the transfer market I predict they will drop straight back down into the championship. With the loss of key players like Raul Jimenez Neves, Moutinho, and Traore, Wolves will find it extremely challenging to compete consistently in the Premier League and achieve success. Even with Kalajdzic back, scoring goals will once again be a major issue. And I believe Luton will finish 20th because of the lack of significant investment in their team after promotion. Scoring goals and having a tight defence will be crucial if they want to stay up but they just don’t seem to have the calibre of Premier League experience within their squad.
