‘I’m not going to change’ – Postecoglou on recent bad run of form

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou has vowed that he will not change his attacking style of play despite recent injuries and the criticism aimed his way following a poor run of form for Tottenham.

Postecoglou is without several key players for Sunday’s trip to Manchester City including central defenders Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur and Richarlison among others.

Spurs have lost three games in a row heading into their clash with City but Postecoglou says he will continue to play an offensive brand of football rather than opt for a more cautious approach.

“It’s not a bad thing, we need to be scrutinised,” Postecoglou said when asked about the recent bad form.

“I need to be scrutinised, I need to be questioned. That’s what tests my resolve.

“I’m not going to change, but bring it on! It doesn’t just test me, it tests the players, it tests the club. How resolved are we about doing this?

“You look at all the top teams, they’ve all been through this process, through the tough times. They all got questioned, they all got scrutinised, they’ve all had criticism come their way and how did they handle it? The ones who are through the other side?

“How did other ones who handled it differently? Where are they now?

“I have a real strong belief in what I do and where we’re heading. I’m just not going to waiver from it.”
