Klopp left unhappy with Anfield atmosphere in Carabao Cup win

Jurgen Klopp admits he was “not overly happy” with the atmosphere at Anfield during Liverpool’s Carabao Cup quarter-final win over West Ham.

The Reds cruised past the Hammers with a 5-1 victory thanks to goals from Dominik Szobozslai, a double from Curtis Jones, Cody Gakpo and Mo Salah to set up a semi-final against Fulham.

Klopp’s side host Arsenal on Saturday and Klopp has called on the fans to get behind their team more for a crucial top of the table clash.

“I was not overly happy with the atmosphere behind me. I ask people “what do you want?” so we change a lot of things we dominate West Ham like crazy, we miss chances!”, Klopp said.

“I would be in the stands, I would be on my toes, 100 percent! If the Manchester United game was that bad that we have to say “oh sorry” that we did not smash them. We need Anfield on Saturday!

“From the first second without me having an argument with the opposition coach, we need you from the first second! If it is too much football in December, I do not know we have to play it as well”

“If you are not in the right shape, give your ticket to somebody else!”

Liverpool host top of the table Arsenal on Saturday at Anfield. The Reds can leapfrog their opponents with a win.
