Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that James Maddison is likely to be available for Tottenham’s trip to Bournemouth.
Maddison joined Spurs for £40m this summer and has been one their standout performers in the opening two games, recording two assists.
However, after Saturday’s win against Manchester United, the England international was seen leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium wearing a protective boot.
It was believed that Maddison could miss this weekend trip to the south coast, but Postecoglou says the midfielder should be available.
“Maddison trained today unrestricted. We’ll see how he holds up but at the moment he will be available.
“I think it was the incident when (Cristian) Romero got brought down, he had a shot and it was a block tackle.
“His ankle was a bit sore after that, but the medical team looked after him. There was no real push to have him available.
“It was down to him. People would have seen him in a moon boot, but it was more precautionary. He has felt good and probably could have trained yesterday.”
