Man City confirm another departure

Manchester City have confirmed the departure of young defender Jahmai Simpson-Pusey.

The 20-year-old has joined FC Koln on a permanent deal, after spending the second half of last season on loan at the Bundesliga club.

He made six first-team appearances during his time at City having come through the club’s academy.

“After just over a decade at Manchester City, my time as a blue has come to an end,” Simpson-Pusey said.

“I’d like to thank everyone at the Club who has helped me on my journey and to have made my senior debut for City will always hold a special place in my heart.

“I am excited for my new adventure, and I would like to wish everyone at the Club every success going forward.”

It follows the announcement that a deal has been agreed for Nathan Ake to join Fenerbahce.
