Live updates from Old Trafford as Manchester United host West Ham United in the Premier League.
Potter continued: “My record here is not bad.
“But it is always a tough place to come to.”
Aaron Wan-Bissaka put in a stellar display against his former club.
Potter insisted: “I can’t imagine he has played as well at any stage in his career. He is enjoying his football.”
Following his side’s vistory, Graham Potter said: “I think today’s just a nice reward for everybody because sticking together and being connected is not easy when results don’t go your way.
“We’re a long way from where we want to be, but I think there are signs.”
Amorim continued: “To be honest I am not concerned about the final, it is by far the smallest problem in our club. We need to change something that is deeper than this.
“I don’t know what is best- playing Champions League or not.”
Leny Yoro was forced off injured early on in the second half.
Amorim revealed: “We have to assess Leny in a better way tomorrow. He felt something but I think it could be a small thing.”
After the match, Ruben Amorim declared: “For me the biggest concern is the feeling that it’s okay. We cannot change our position so much so it’s okay.
“That is the biggest problem in our club in this moment. Because we are losing the feeling that we are a massive club and losing at home is the end of the world.”
Manchester United lose at home to a team that started the day in 17th in the table and the Reds themselves have now dropped to 16th. The most damning indictment of their Premier League campaign is that there is no surprise, anger or outrage at this result from the fans. The crowd were completely apathetic as Ruben Amorim’s side suffered their 17th league defeat of the season.
West Ham looked good throughout this afternoon and that was probably one of their best results of the season. Graham Potter still has a huge job on his hands going into next season but today will provide some much-needed positivity around the club. They gave their fans something to cheer about it and that is all they can do at this stage in their season.
West Ham should have had another.
Ward-Prowse gets in behind completely alone but Bayindir just manages to deny the Englishman.
There will be six minutes of injury time played.
West Ham look comfortable and the away supporters are bringing out the oles.
Amad Diallo is taken off.
Christian Eriksen is on for the final minutes.
Vladimir Coufal is replaced by Emerson Palmieri.
Konstantinos Mavropanos is on for Jean-Clair Todibo.
How has Hojlund not scored from there?
A United free-kick bounces around the box before landing perfectly at the feet of their striker. He is little more than a yard out but somehow he manages to fire it into a scrambling Areola. Chances don’t come much easier than that one.
Another United corner leads to another Maguire header.
The defender keeps this one on target but Areola reacts well to deny him.
United earn a corner from Hojlund’s missed chance and it leads to another opportunity.
Maguire is picked out in the middle and his header looks like it is flying in but it goes just wide of the post.
A United clearance leads to them breaking forward and they have a golden opportunity as it is three against two.
Diallo slides in Hojlund but the Dane fails to beat Areola.
Attackers Kudus and Bowen are taken off and Carlos Soler and Niclas Fullkrug are on.
The West Ham fans are certainly excited to see their German striker on the pitch.
The hosts have had most of the ball in the second period but they have failed to create any chances.
With the clock ticking down, it looks like United are headed for another disappointing result.
Graham Potter makes his first change of the afternoon.
Guido Rodriguez is replaced by Edson Alvarez.
Aaron Cresswell is shown the first yellow card of the afternoon.
The defender goes through the back of Diallo and is rightly booked for the challenge.
More changes from Amorim following that goal. Ugarte who was responsible for the goal is taken off, alongside Mason Mount who has been ineffective after such a productive week.
The duo are replaced by Patrick Dorgu and Alejandro Garnacho.
West Ham double their lead and it is another tap in.
Manuel Ugarte gives up possession incredibly cheaply and Kudus drives forward. The Ghanian finds Aaron Wan-Bissaka and the right-back plays it across to Jarrod Bowen who has a simple finish.
After a flurry of United corners, the home side have another penalty appeal waved away.
Harry Maguire thinks he is being held and throws himself to the ground but that would have been an even softer call than the first one.
Diallo skips in between West Ham defenders and goes down inside the box.
The referee waves away the penalty appeals and replays confirm that there was no contact.
United make a double change at the back following the injury to Yoro.
The Frenchman is one of those that makes way, alongside Luke Shaw. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof come off the bench.
